NYSPHSAA considers an increased basketball schedule
The NYSPHSAA Executive Committee will meet Friday morning at the Hilton Garden Inn on Hoosick St. in Troy.
Among the proposals to be discussed will be adding two regular season varsity basketball games. High school teams currently play an 18-game regular season. That could increase by one game for next season, and by another for the 2015-16 school year for a 20 game schedule.
Another proposal is for the girls to play with a 35 second shot clock as the boys do.
